The SELF

Concentrate within,
think within, talk within,
search knowledge and wisdom within;
Act motivated from within;
What we are searching
actually lies within.
One really needs no one,
One need not search afar,
One need not travel far,
One need not fall apart;
To find love, to find peace,
to find knowledge, to find joy,
to find wisdom; One must only
reach himself within.

The real journey
Is the journey to
the core of the heart;
the real search is
the search within
oneself.

When the self is conquered
when the Supreme is pleased
The supreme Self is reached;
One is allowed to have peace,
To be tranquil, to be complete,
to be without need,
to be fearless,
To be whole.

Today I am allowed to
have a glimpse of the self;
today, for a moment,
I am at peace;
today I am allowed
to be at the door
of The Kingdom.

A day to celebrate;
For today is one of those days
when I had a glance of joy
seeing His abode.

I am complete, I am joyful;
O Lord, please accept my gratitude,
What have I done that pleased you?
that you gave me such a precious gift;
Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Thank you, O Most Merciful One.

Loving Father,
never let me let go;
You know how weak and fragile
at times I can become;
My arrogance is the hindrance
and my utmost adversary;
The root, the greatest allurement
that brings me around
to everywhere aside from
the place of your most
pleasurable company.

Let me be nearby
this door forever;
Let me be eternally
at this ground remain;
If this is the only place
where I am allowed to be;
If my devotion had but gone
barely up to this heights;
You know very well Most Dear One,
“I am easy, I’m not the kind
who dream there could be more.”

Right now
my dream is complete;
As of now, I am satisfied;
Right now this part
of your mystical ocean
is fit and enough for
the stretching of
 my new found wings.

One day,
I may again dream;
One day, I may again rise;
One day, anew, I'll be restless;
I shall seek for a new horizon,
When my whims can’t be contained;
Freedom is your gift and curse O Lord;
Every action that was done for You,
Good or bad are the same mercy;
No doubt that everything is yours;
So it really doesn't matter
where it’ll lead me
 as long as you are there.
O Most Restful Wanderer,
who is ever present everywhere;
Everywhere where you are
Is where I’d rather be.
